Altnagelvin Hospital Carpark

Project Description

This car park was an important addition for the hospital, with pressure coming to use the surrounding land for important medical facilities. With an increase in patient and visitor numbers, a multi story option made the most sense.

This concrete frame was almost entirely exposed, it featured an off-panel finish. It also required 2 lift and stair cores to be built independently of the main structure, so work could continue uninterrupted below. Mastercraft’s site team achieved this by using Peri’s well-designed climbing system for walls and lift cores.

Under a tight programme (and the many site restrictions imposed by working in the close vicinity of a functioning hospital) it was finished on time and to the high quality required by the client.
